Castle fun!!

Last Friday night we decided to work on a family art project. So, we all went to our local Hobby Lobby store and perused the aisles for a worthy endeavor. Here is what we found....a huge cardboard castle kit that we could put together and paint/color. Good times were had by all!!
Here are the boys playing in their new castle. They are having just as much fun playing in it as they had drawing on it. They keep adding more and more color to it each day.
Abram had a good time playing with the markers and watching the boys color.
Here are the boys prior to the giant paint spill on the floor. They got a little overexcited and one of the paint tubes was tossed and exploded. I knew this was probably going to happen eventually, it was just a matter of time!!
Here is the result of my birthday present after a few weeks of sun and water. We all like the hair, and we hope to see it grow even more in the coming weeks!!

Hoop dreams, Piles of Leaves & Our Tomodachi

Jonah finished up his first season of Upward Basketball. He has turned out to be quite a player (Of course, I am a bit biased!!!). He even made a basket right at the end of his last game. He just began playing his third soccer season, and he is loving it!!
Jamey has started a tradition of raking up the leaves in a pile for the boys to jump. The two biggest trees in our yard shed their leaves in spring, instead of fall.....lucky us!! Here are some shots I took of my little jumping beans. Note: No children were hurt in the process of taking of these pictures.
Abram is finally crawling now, mainly on his belly. However, the boy can move. We are really going to have to watch his every move. I caught him trying to pick up (and put into his mouth) a tiny piece of a potato chip he found on the BCM floor! YUCK!!!
Well, we had to say goodbye to our friend ("Tomodachi" in Japanese) Mari. She went back to Osaka on Thursday. We are so thankful for the time we spent with her. Having Mari around was so much fun!! The boys had a great time challenging Mari to some Wii bowling. Check out those scores!!! Jonah beat us all....with 211!! We hope the next time we see Mari, it is in Japan.
