Three weeks to go!!!

So, here it is....a picture of me in all my pregnant glory. We took these last night while we were eating and playing with the kids at a local park. We packed a picnic supper (with takeout from a local restaurant). We are finding some great local places to eat, which is nice since we really miss Crescent Moon, Flying Biscuit, Golden Buddha, Athens Pizza, Mary Mac's, and Bruster's!!!! We hope you can come visit us sometime in Shreveport, so we can show you around. The weather here is beautiful. We are enjoying the spring while we can, because it won't be long before it gets BLASTED hot here in LA!!!
Jonah is taking swim lessons now. He is doing a great job!! This week they had "Jump week" which basically means the kids have to jump in the pool with all their clothes on and swim to the side. They also work on survival floating techniques to keep them afloat in the event of an emergency. Jonah likes floating on his back. He always has a big cheesy grin on his face when he does it. Seth has a good time watching Jonah swim. We will start him in swim lessons in the fall. He is a good cheerleader and I think watching Jonah is good motivation for him for the future.

And the name is.....Abram James Droddy

In case you haven't heard, we finally decided on a name for Droddy boy #3. His name is ABRAM JAMES DRODDY. The story of Abram and how he picked up and moved his entire family following God's will, kept coming up in our studies. One of the first weekends we were living in Shreveport, Jonah brought home the story from Sunday School about Abram, and for some reason it became a favorite for Jonah and Seth to read before bed.

The middle name James is in honor of Jamey's father, James "Jimmy" Ray Droddy.

My doctor has scheduled the induction for Abram to be Thursday, MAY 15. So, we have about 4 1/2 weeks until Abram's arrival. It's hard to believe that it is coming so soon. For most of you, you probably can't even imagine seeing me pregnant!! When we moved back in January, I was just starting to show. Maybe I will get brave enough to let Jamey take my picture in my current state!!!

If you think about it, please pray for the delivery of baby Abram. We went on a hospital tour last weekend, and we are realizing how soon all this is going to take place. As some of you know, my inductions have been VERY long and painful in the past, so we are hoping this one will be the opposite!!!

This is a picture of Abram's room. We tried to paint it the color "Top Banana", but after realizing that the color would have caused blindness in baby Abram and probably the rest of us, we had the color lightened to a much more aesthetically pleasing yellow color!!

One of Jonah and Seth's new favorite things to do is perform on our new fireplace mantle. Here they are singing and dancing for us.

We have been in our house for about a month now. We are anxiously trying to get a lot of little things done before the baby comes. After we put the kids to bed, Jamey and I spend most of our evenings accomplishing various projects around the house. It is a good thing that we are both night owls. We have been able to do much more than we ever thought in such a short amount of time. I guess the NESTING instinct is really kicking in!!!

After 8 1/2 years of marriage, Jamey and I finally decided to break down and get satellite TV. As most of you who had visited our house in Atlanta knew, our only source of television reception was rabbit ears. We have gotten used to watching television with a little static over the course of our marriage. Well, for some reason rabbit ears don't pick up any stations in Shreveport. So, now we have way more channels than we will ever need, but at least we can watch our favorite shows static free. As an added bonus, now have ESPN, HGTV, and TLC. Maybe we can actually watch LSU and Arkansas games, and not have to hear about them from our friends.

Our lunch boxes have a new home!!
Our lovely bouquet of flowers and fruit on the backsplash of our kitchen. This will be a project for the future. We hope to save up enough money to replace the countertops and the backsplash in the next couple of years!!!
