3-2-1 Contract.

We have been through 3 months of trying to sell our house. We have received offers from 3 different buyers and, with the last buyer, we negotiated 3 counteroffers BUT we FINALLY have a contract on our house in Atlanta. Obviously there are still several hoops that we have to jump through to get it sold but we are so thankful to have found a buyer. Now we are frantically trying to find a house that we like here in Shreveport. We have looked at several but no house has really inspired us to open our (bank's) wallet. Our prayers are filled with thanks to God for taking care of us. We are confident that He will lead us to the right place in our new city.

Life...up to this point.

We are finally in Shreveport experiencing some semblance of permanence. Our lives have landed us in a one room apartment in the Shreveport BCM--pictures soon, I promise. This has resulted in weird experience that is a blend of work and family with a little mission trip thrown in--we're not sleeping on the floor...yet. The past month has been a blur of traveling and transition. Here's a quick recap:
* Miles driven (leaving Atl on 12/22 and returning on 1/15)--3500+ (I finally quit keeping track)
* Times I loaded or unloaded our mini-van during our trip: 21
* Number of different places in which we spent at least one night: 8
* States driven in or through: 6
* Times the kids watched the Wiggles Christmas video in the car: uncertain, I am numb to it now
* Number of times I passed out: 1 (after the marathon)
Anyway, life is crazy but we are getting settled. We will do a better job updating the blog now. Take care.
