Toot, toot, chugga, chugga......

Well, as usual, we had a great time with the Grubbs this last weekend. It is never enough time, but we are thankful to have had some time with them. We got to show them some of the sights in Shreveport.
Its so nice to see Abram smiling at us. We keep trying to catch it fully on camera, but often just get the tail end of a big smile.
What can make Seth drop his mouth so big and wide open............THE WIGGLES, of course!!!
The Wiggles came to Shreveport tonight and we got to go see them. I'm not quite sure they knew where in the world they were, but I know two little boys who were very glad they ended up in our corner of the Ark-La-Tex. Needless to say, I know two little boys who are absolutely star struck now, and one mother who will be annoyed by all those crazy songs that will be stuck in her head for the next few days.
Seeing the Wiggles makes Jonah and Seth two very happy and satisfied boys!!

No Excuses.

Several family and friends have oh-so-gently reminded us that we do, in fact, have a blog and it is just a weeeee tad out-of-date. No real excuse as to our tardiness in updating...just busy with life! Anyway, as you can see below, Abram is smiling now and getting cuter everyday. Oh, and most importantly, he's now sleeping through the night.

The Grubbs visiting us + a pack full of fake mustaches + energetic children = hours of large fun.
No real significance to the next picture...just way funny! Seth is really quite the ham these days.
Last weekend we visited my family in Elizabeth for the twins birthday. Here's a pic of my mom's grandkids (minus Abram).
I'm a happy fella to have such a smiling, wonderful family!
I renew the promise of more frequent updates. We look forward to hearing from each of you!!

In Arkansas..Part Deux!!

Here is Jamey, Abram, and my mom (or Mimi, as the grandkids call her) sitting on the porch swing. The porch swing is definitely one of the things I like best about my childhood home in Harrison.
Here I am with my brother Travis and, of course, goofy Jamey in the background.
Jonah and Dad (Pa)...not really sure what kind of tough hand symbol my child is flashing. It probably means something like "Look at me and my gramps, we are two tough cookies--Peace Out."
In an effort to make my nephew Giles' work day at the local grocery store a little more exciting, we all decided to pay him a visit while he was working. We took some silly pictures along the aisles. Since Harrison is a small town, I'm pretty sure there weren't any security cameras watching our every move. If there were, I hope we gave whomever was watching them a little entertainment.....we're hoping Giles doesn't get fired as a result.
Work it Giles, work it!!! Bag the groceries, and keep that sunny smile. It's sure to please the customers and the ladies!!!

In Arkansas at last!!--Part One

Okay, so after we finally made it to Arkansas, we had a great time. Here are some pictures from our trip to see my family. The boys enjoyed some pool time. The weather in Arkansas was warm, but beautiful. It was much cooler than it has been in Lousy-ana (in defense of Jamey's last blog entry and his cuts on Arkansas).
Jonah had a chance to show off some of the skills he has been learning in swim lessons.
Abram was quite relaxed in the shade by the pool. He enjoyed some cuddle time with Mimi.
Here is my sister Laura, my niece Breezy (with her dog Ginger), and Seth.
This one made it to the blog simply because I want to embarrass my nephew Grant. Can you see his disdain for having his picture made? Over the years, embarrassing my nephews has brought me much joy. Maybe I'm just paying them back for putting boogers for in my hair as toddlers!!

By the way, I am so proud of my three nephews: Grant, Giles, and Jacob. All three of them graduated from high school in May from Harrison High School. They are great guys, and I know God has big plans for each of their lives.
